In that year it was decided to organize a small two-day indie music festival, thus exploiting the full potential of the location: the hall of columns Ponti sul Mincio (MN). the name derives from the fact that kitchen door, as many know, the groups were playing next to the kitchen door. then kitchen door is the title of an old song by Buffalo Tom. intended, kitchen door fest was an event that was to remain isolated, but then was repeated with other editions. in recent years and in our small groups we have hosted several high-quality (KECH, torn, Edwood, Port Royal, marla, my own parasite, ornaments, Irma Vep, neil on impression, Annie Hall and others who still appreciate the wide availability) at a very popular (2 / 3 € maximum). Unfortunately, the economic resources have always been very limited, and each character had a impromptu concert and strictly non-profit. often, if not always, the losses exceeded the gains: this writer knows and well. we were moved only by their passion to do something different in an area that offered little or nothing. kitchen door in order to be able to organize events in the hall of columns was supported AAS. the castle (to whom we owe eternal gratitude) and now, recently, he worked closely with the young at the exit monzambano Association, which has already organized a few outdoor concerts: the first in July 2005 and by popular demand Edwood , the second in July 2006 involving bob corn, three in one gentleman suit, the former Otago and katrienne. kitchen door has effectively supported the event and was present with the stand of the shirts. the latest edition of the festival dates back kitchen door, with great difficulty (and certainly does not help that siae) to November 2005 and has had unexpected success: no more than the usual 30 / 35 people, but a hundred. all the result of a greater visibility and word of mouth on the web, as well as a flyer, I admit, wild. however, it tasted a little bitter because they felt that the following year kdoor could not be organized due to lack of funds over that time. perhaps the latter (though small) success, leads us to say that another edition of kitchen door (the fourth) will still be there, although this may not happen immediately. it comes in January 2007. before then there is another project in dance, born again with the sotegno the ass. toll: organize a gig in a pub (another great location, practically under my house) by November / December 2006 to date nothing concrete: something about you know as soon as possible on these frequencies. what is left of kitchen door now? many ideas that are currently limited to this blog: so stay tuned. said that if you want / think you make a small donation, know that this will serve to effectively carry out all these projects. paypal donate button on the left side can be found here.
